All our students are covered through our DAN diving insurance policy. Our boats and land transportation hold insurance for passengers and crew. We are affiliated to the hyperbaric clinic “Medicina Hiperbárica Integral SSS” in Playa del Carmen. We carry a first aid kit and an oxygen unit in all our diving trips. We are first aid and CPR instructors and our crew and instructors are qualified to assist with first and secondary care.
Tamara e Inés have been friends since birth and having shared adventures through their lives
they share another big adventure: coming back to Mexico and their will to contribute
to their birthplace. They’ve teamed up in a biology-diving combo, then it was only
a matter of time before Manatus México was born…
We are the marine ecology and biology school, we use conscious and solidary diving to promote responsible actions focusing on conservation of the ocean. Our activity is supported by conservation culture to promote best practices for water sports and activities, we value local and traditional knowledge as much as science.
Manatus Mexico is a socially responsible company, we offer recreational diving activities, scientific diving and environmental consulting services. Manatus Mexico was registered in 2015 under the mexican legal form of S.A. de C.V.

We teach PADI scuba diving courses and comply with their standards We follow DAN’s (Divers Alert Network) recommendations for safety We belong to the local divers union “Sindicato de Buzos del Caribe”
Manatus México has completely banned disposable water bottles.
We have reusable water containers instead and we encourage our visitors and
divers to limit their consumption of single-use plastic products.
We conduct our immersions in small groups to avoid damaging the environment. We constantly seek suppliers which share the values and commitments we have to be able to operate low impact diving.
We conduct observation diving trips and we do not participate
or encourage artificial encounters with animals, we stand against captivity
and the captivity industry in any of their practices as well as attraction of
wildlife through feedings.
We promote sustainable tourism. We plan and manage the residual wastes of our operation with adequate sorting and recycling. We use a minimum of biodegradable soaps or detergents and those are never emptied directly in the ocean or land.
We are proud to be a Cressi Dive Center. We have selected materials and equipment for your courses or diving trips, all of it is high quality gear that is well cared for, constantly checked and repaired in-house when possible. We are trained in repairing and servicing Cressi equipment and we are a Cressi authorised dealer in Puerto Morelos, if you need assistance acquiring diving equipment we will be glad to help you.
